Unqualified Drivers

There are many things that can not be controlled in this world. One of them is other people. Recently in Arlington Heights there was a terrible car crash, link is here. There was a total of four deaths, three in one car and one in the other. A 21 year old was speeding at 100 mph in a 35 mph zone. He was in a Mercedes and the other family, which included two parents and their 20 year old daughter, were in a Chevy. As the Chevy was turning into a parking lot they were hit straight on. After taken to the hospital the family and the driver of the Mercedes were pronounced dead.

This is very infuriating. Why would anyone need to be going 65 mph over the speed limit? I know there are bad drivers, but reckless drivers are even worse. This young man, likely under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, took four beautiful lives from the earth, including his own. There has to be something done to stop accidents like this from happening. The 21 year old had received six speeding tickets since 2001. He should not have had a license and there are many other drivers who should have their license taken away. I believe that just because someone got out of going to jail because they had a good lawyer is wrong. If people are not following the law, then they need to be punished before they hurt anyone else.

  1. I totally agree with all of this. I believe that too many drivers these days get their license even though they’re not ready for it. Too many people speed along the streets which puts other people in danger. These people don’t realize that there are other people on the streets besides them, and that they need to drive more carefully so they don’t hurt anyone else.
